Winter in the Northwest!

Winter in North Idaho is only just beginning and with that it is time to hunker down and write songs and take a breather from life. As my song “Winterfall” says: “Soon the snow will fall…” and so the Webb’s both 2 legged and 4 legged will be enjoying fires by the woodstove, snowshoeing, and snowy evenings in the hot tub with cups of hot chocolate.

So far the colder weather has meant I am busy in the music room writing tunes most of which seem to be the sort that want to travel back to the 1930s and 40s – but what else is one to write on an older Gibson archtop? Also in the works is a return to the recording studio in early 2016 to start recording a new collection of songs. Although still very early in the process it is beginning to look like this will be more of a acoustic project with a mix of swing, blues and acoustic folk but we shall see what happens as things unfold in the New Year.

In the mean time, I want to wish each and everyone a happy and joyful holiday full of love and good cheer – May your wood stove be warm, your heart full of love, and may your wine glass be kept full – Oh and a nice gourmet dark chocolate to go with that red wine is highly recommended as well!

Happy Holidaze and I hope to catch some of you at a show somewhere near you next year!
